Island Gossen, Lövik.
WB Norwegen, Festung Gossen, Heavy Flak Battery Pillau, 6x8,8cm+2x2cm.

The island Gossen (Gossa) is a large island in front of the coast line Molde-Bud. Take the road to Hollingen and use the ferry to enter the island. This battery is located in the north-east. Follow the road on the middle of the island; from Haugland towards the north and near the local shooting club and the local waste dump is a parking place.

This battery, a heavy Flak battery had six emplacements for a 4cm Bofor gun, which is a relatively small calibre gun for such an emplacement. The magnificent thing about this location is that four of the Bofors are still present; even better. they can still be turned and almost operated! Only the grenade is missing. It is very nice to sit on the gunman's chair and operate the gun by changing the angle and the position of the gun. Furthermore are several 622 personnel bunkers who are nicely camouflaged in the surrounding. The whole site is absolutely amazing; the view is nice, the guns make it very special so this must be how a battery looked like, back in time.

Types:
6x Flak 8,8cm emplacement, re-used for 4cm Bofor, four remaining.
2x Searchlight emplacement.
3x 622 Twin group bunker.

Island Gossen, Solem.
WB Norwegen, Festung Gossen, Heavy Flak Battery Bulle, 6x8,8cm+2x2cm.

The island Gossen (Gossa) is a large island in front of the coast, between Bud and Molde. Take the road to Hollingen and use the ferry to visit the island. This battery is located at the mid-west of the island, south-west of the village Rod.

The battery, a heavy Flak battery with six emplacements for an 8,8cm gun, was shown to us by some nice locals who guided us through the site. The emplacements are in an average condition and the site is completed by several barrack foundations and two smaller emplacements who are presumably for a searchlight. The bunkers are on private property so ask for permission first, furthermore they are spread over a large area and some of them are hard to find because of the vegetation.

Types;
6x Flak 8,8cm emplacement.
2x Searchlight emplacement.
2x Fa shelter.
1x Barrack foundation.
1x MG post.
Island Gossen, Solem.
WB Norwegen, Festung Gossen, island Headquaters, Wn. Kommandantur.

The island Gossen (Gossa) is a large island in front of the coast, between Bud and Molde. Take the road to Hollingen and use the ferry to visit the island and near the village of Solem this location is situated.

The main bunker is the SK command bunker which is unfortunately ruined from the inside, although he is very big and impressive. The beauties are the two casemates 676 who guard the site; both guns should be inside and we have photographed one of them because the other bunker is closed and flooded. Seeing the 4,7cm PAK in its original state is absolutely fantastic and very unusual. We've seen the restored gun at Fort Austratt but this one is even better because he is untouched and still standing strong. Most of the mechanisms are still there, a small German text remains on the plate, the outside looks still very nice and there is little damage to the gun.
Both bunkers are nicely integrated in a small hill makes this site one of the most beautiful or special locations we've ever seen.

Types:
1x Sk command bunker.
2x 676 Small embrasured emplacement for 4.7cm fortress anti-tank gun (t).
1x Vf52a Group shelter.
1x Vf7a Ammunition bunker.
Island Gossen, Tangen.
WB Norwegen, Festung Gossen, Art.Gr. Möre, H.K.B. Gossen-Süd 18/976, 6x15,5cm.

The island Gossen (Gossa) is a large island in front of the coast, between Bud and Molde. Take the road to Hollingen and use the ferry to visit the island. This battery is located in the far south of the island. When you've come of the ferry, take the 662 to the left to the south part of the island. After for 1.5km, once you've passed the 'corner' of the island, take a small farmer road to the right up the hill. You may see the radio antenna, which is build on top of the bunker and is now your guiding point.

The battery had six emplacements for a 15,5cm gun; we have found two of them on our trip. They were hard to see because of the vegetation; the steel connecting point for the gun made it clear. The interesting bunker is the fire-control bunker, type 636. The bunker is in a good condition with some very nice details inside.

Types:
1x 636 Command post for army coastal battery.
2x Gun emplacement for 15.5cm K425 (f).
1x 607 Ammunition bunker II.
1x Vf52a Group shelter.
2x Wellblech shelter.
1x Barracks.
Island Gossen, Horrem.
WB Norwegen, Festung Gossen, Wn. Horrem.

The island Gossen (Gossa) is a large island in front of the coast, between Bud and Molde. Take the road to Hollingen and use the ferry to visit the island. In the small town Horem is a nice 622 located, see GPS data for exact location.

The bunker, a 622 personnel bunker is unfortunately closed but there is a nice detail; it has a tobruk on both sides so that makes the bunker quit more impressive.

Types;
1x 622 Twin group bunker.
1x Vf unknown bunker.
Island Gossen.
WB Norwegen, Festung Gossen, inland defence line.

The island Gossen (Gossa) is a large island in front of the coast, between Bud and Molde. Take the road to Hollingen and use the ferry to visit the island. This defence line goes from the former German airfield in the centre of the island, all the way towards the village Lovik.

We start near the airfield; south of the airfield in the middle of the fields/woods along a small farmer road are two Tobruks located. Both Tobruks, type 241 have still there tank turret which looks very nice on a sunny day!! We continue towards Lovik, so at the junction we took the road to Lovik and after a couple hundred meters we saw another turret on our right. The fourth tobruk with tank-turret can already be seen from the third one; it is located on the yard of a farm, together with a nice tobruk 65a with a beautiful 5cm KwK gun remaining (without the barrel).

Types:
4x Tobruk241 for tank turret.
1x Tobruk65a 5cm gun.
1x Tobruk58c.
1x Remains.
Island Gossen, Lövik.
WB Norwegen, Festung Gossen, Wn. Lövik-West.

The island Gossen (Gossa) is a large island in front of the coast, between Bud and Molde. Take the road to Hollingen and use the ferry to visit the island. South-west of the small village of Lovik are several bunkers located. We parked the car at a small parking place near the water.

We walked along some houses and then there are the remains of barrack foundation. According to a local there should be more bunkers up the hill for a 10min walk. We have found some remains in the woods, a nice tobruk with special entrance and a nice Vf bunker. This bunker is probably for personnel, it looks like a Vf52a but there are some extra small rooms added. There is also some sort of antenna trough put so it is a strange bunker.

Types:
1x Vf personnel.
1x Tobruk58c.
1x Remains.
2x Barrack foundations.
